can i add?
airairing is fairly easy.
if you are just starting out first just do 180s on the tranny
go up the quarter at a speed you are comfortable with when you start to reach the highest you can ride turn your bars hop and twist around.
once your comfortable with 180s do exactly the same thing but at a faster speed until you get above the coping
remember its easier the higher you go
landing softerfor your bike:
big drops;- 7+ stairs or 5 foot +
triple wall rims
tight spokes
comfy grips
comfy seat
tight stem bolts
85-125psi depending on what your tires can hold but make sure its a little bit less so that they dont pop
smaller drops;- 6 stairs or less 4'11" or less
double wall rims (minimum)
tight spokes
comfyish grips (if there hard and uncomfortable there not worth having)
60psi tires (minimum)
for landing:
when you do the drop loosen your body like your going to drop your bike
but dont let go of your bike
remember your bike weighs less than you so youll stay on your bike you will only lose it if you push it down
coming closer to the ground extend the back end, straighten your legs but keep them loose
if there stiff they wont absorb the landing properly and i can guarantee you will do damage to your legs
your arms are only used in the landing to stay attached to your bike dont land and use them to soften your landing your legs will do that any way
it will just damage your wrists
when you land let your legs absorb all the impact and sit on your seat if you have to
if you do a trick (360s are good) you will automatically take the impact because you will be more focosed on the trick than the landing
and for big drops if you can instead of landing flat try to land on a bank or put something on an angle at the bottom so that you land on an angle rather than flat it helps take the impact better
