Lately I've been trying airs on a 7-foot quarter pipe. I was getting them pretty good under the coping just like 180 hopping on the tranny, so i worked on it and built up higher. I could get about half a foot over the coping, but over that i was casing on the way down. So what I'm asking is, how do I air relatively high without casing?

bring your bike up closer to your body so it passes the coping and on 7 ft qp's you still need to pull up like you would to air a smaler quarter or lean forward a bit so you land front wheel first (by about half a second) that should give you a shock and youll do it properly

Would I be better off trying it on a 7-foot or a 9-foot quarter pipe?

when u air out, pull ur bars down kinda like a nose dive but not that much.try boosting urself up going faster and level urself in the air and pull ur bars down.by this u will kind of pick up ur back wheel and prevent it from casing.the faster u go,the higher u will air out.try not to land flat and practice a lot.took me about 3 days to air at least tire height.so the more u do it,the better u get at it,u know. _________________
